Terms of Service

Version 1.4 • effective 30 July 2026 • first published 3 August 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of nTer, a Christian devotional and reflective service provided by Matt White International (Pty) Ltd. They apply alongside our Privacy Policy and Refund and Cancellation Policy. At checkout, you also enter a separate purchase agreement with Paddle for payment and subscription administration. By creating an account or using nTer, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use nTer. You may download or print a copy for your records.

1. Who we are

nTer is operated by Matt White International (Pty) Ltd (“MWI”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a private company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa under registration number 2017/378663/07. 2. Definitions

2.1 “Account” means your personal nTer account linked to your email address.

2.2 “nTer Content” means the devotional writing, music, recordings, images, artwork, software, interfaces, design, branding and other materials made available through nTer.

2.3 “nTer Moment” means the devotional reading made available through the Service and, where you choose, delivered by email.

2.4 “Service” means the nTer website, installable web application, Account, nTer Moments, Whisper Journal, virtual candle and related features made available from time to time.

2.5 “SoulName” means the display name you choose for use within nTer. It need not be your real name.

2.6 “Subscription” means a paid recurring plan for the access and features described at checkout.

2.7 “Whisper Journal” means the personal journal feature in which you may write reflections.

2.8 “Your Content” means text you place in the Whisper Journal and other material you intentionally submit to nTer, excluding account, billing and technical data governed by the Privacy Policy.

3. Eligibility and your Account

3.1 nTer is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to create an Account or use the Service. By doing so, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

3.2 You sign in using a magic link sent to your email address. Your email address identifies your Account. Keep your email account and sign-in links secure, do not forward a magic link, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

3.3 Your Account is personal and may not be shared or transferred. One Account is permitted per email address unless we approve otherwise.

3.4 A SoulName is a pseudonymous display name, not a guarantee of anonymity. We and our service providers still process your email address, Account data and other information as described in the Privacy Policy.

3.5 If we reasonably determine that an Account belongs to a person under 18, we may close it and delete or anonymise the associated personal information, subject to legal, security, payment and record-retention requirements. Any payment issue will be handled through Paddle as required by law.

3.6 At launch, nTer is not offered to, and does not permit Account creation or Subscriptions by, people located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom at the point of sign-up. Reasonable location controls are applied before an Account is created or any Whisper Journal content is accepted, and may include IP-based geolocation and other location indicators. You must not attempt to circumvent those controls. If an Account is created despite this restriction, we may close it, delete or restrict the associated personal information in accordance with the Privacy Policy and, where payment was accepted, arrange an appropriate refund through Paddle. Nationality alone does not determine whether this restriction applies. We will update these Terms before opening nTer to those regions.

4. The Service

4.1 nTer offers an nTer Moment, a Whisper Journal and a virtual candle. Unless the Service expressly says otherwise, the reading shown is the latest published reading. nTer is not a dated archive and does not promise continuing access to earlier readings.

4.2 Email delivery is optional and depends on the preference you select. Delivery times are approximate and may be affected by your email provider, connectivity, spam settings or events outside our reasonable control. The Service itself remains the primary place to access an nTer Moment.

4.3 We may improve, replace, add, remove or change features. If a change materially reduces the core paid Service during a current paid period, we will give reasonable notice and provide any remedy required by applicable law.

4.4 We aim to keep nTer secure, available and reliable, but maintenance, updates, security incidents, provider failures and other events may interrupt access. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

4.5 The Whisper Journal is private in the sense that it is not publicly displayed or shared with other nTer users. It is stored and technically processed by us and our service providers as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not assume it is end-to-end encrypted unless we expressly state that it is.

4.6 nTer does not currently provide user profiles, public posting, messaging or a feature for users to share content with one another. You are responsible for anything you choose to share outside the Service.

4.7 The Service may rely on third-party hosting, email, authentication, analytics, support and other technology services. Their availability may affect nTer. Any third-party link or service has its own terms and privacy practices.

5. Subscriptions, Paddle, billing and cancellation

5.1 Paddle means the Paddle group company identified at checkout or on your receipt. Depending on your location, this may be Paddle.com Inc., Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd. or Paddle.com Market Limited. Paddle acts as the authorised reseller and Merchant of Record for your purchase. Your purchase, payment and billing relationship with Paddle is governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy. These Terms govern your use of nTer.

5.2 The current price, currency, billing period, renewal cadence, taxes and any other charge are shown before you place an order. Paddle processes payment and sends the transaction receipt. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

5.3 A Subscription renews automatically for the period shown at checkout until it is cancelled. Paddle will provide any renewal reminder required by applicable law. If the price changes, you will receive advance notice and may cancel before the new price is charged. Where law requires express consent to a price change, the increased price will not be charged without that consent.

5.4 nTer does not offer a free trial that automatically converts to a paid Subscription. You may use the introductory free experience without providing payment details, and you are never charged unless you choose to subscribe. A Subscription begins only when you actively subscribe and provide payment through Paddle.

5.5 You may cancel future renewal at any time through the cancellation control in your Account or the Paddle buyer portal. Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and access continues until then unless the Service says otherwise.

5.6 If mandatory consumer law gives you a right to terminate during a paid fixed term, to receive a credit, or to cancel on different notice, that right applies. Contact support@nter.life so that any required adjustment or refund can be arranged through Paddle. An ordinary end-of-period cancellation does not itself create a right to a refund for time already used.

5.7 Some consumers have a statutory cooling-off or withdrawal right. The Refund and Cancellation Policy and Paddle’s Refund Policy explain how to exercise it. Where applicable law permits that right to end once immediate digital access begins, checkout may ask you to request immediate access and expressly acknowledge the legal consequence. Any right is affected only to the extent the law permits.

5.8 Refunds and payment reversals are processed by Paddle. We do not issue payment refunds directly. Nothing in these Terms reduces a mandatory refund, cancellation, chargeback or consumer right.

5.9 If a payment fails, Paddle may retry it and may cancel the Subscription. We may suspend paid access after reasonable notice, or sooner where fraud, abuse or security risk is reasonably suspected.

6. Intellectual property and Your Content

6.1 nTer Content is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. While your access is active, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to access and use nTer Content for your own non-commercial devotional use.

6.2 Except where the Service expressly allows or the law permits, you may not copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, licence, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, publicly perform, scrape, systematically extract or commercially exploit nTer Content. You may not use nTer Content or data from the Service to create a dataset, train an artificial-intelligence model, or build a competing service.

6.3 As between you and us, you retain any rights you have in Your Content. You grant us a limited, worldwide licence to host, copy, transmit, back up, secure, retrieve and display Your Content back to you, and to process it only as reasonably necessary to provide, protect, troubleshoot and lawfully operate the Service. This licence ends when the relevant content is deleted, subject to backups, legal retention and technical deletion cycles described in the Privacy Policy.

6.4 We do not use the text of your Whisper Journal for advertising, behavioural profiling or training artificial-intelligence models. This is a material service commitment and must be read with the operational details in our Privacy Policy.

6.5 You may use the available controls to export or delete Your Content. Account deletion may be irreversible, so export anything you wish to keep before deleting your Account.

6.6 The nTer name, logo, brand devices and associated goodwill are our trade marks or branding. These Terms grant no right to use them except as necessary to identify the Service for personal, lawful reference.

7. Acceptable use

When using nTer, you agree not to:

7.1 share, sell, transfer or misuse your Account or sign-in links;

7.2 scrape, harvest, index, mirror or extract content or data by automated means without our written permission;

7.3 probe, scan, attack, overload, disrupt, circumvent a territorial or security control, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, an Account, source code or security measure;

7.4 reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive source code, except to the limited extent the law does not permit this restriction;

7.5 upload malicious code, interfere with another person’s use, impersonate another person, or submit material that infringes another person’s rights;

7.6 use nTer for an unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purpose, or use nTer Content beyond the licence in clause 6; or

7.7 remove ownership notices, misrepresent the source of nTer Content, or suggest that nTer endorses you without written permission.

8. Privacy

8.1 Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we process, why we process it, where it may be processed, how long it is retained, which service providers receive it, and how to exercise your rights.

8.2 Your use of a Christian devotional service and the content of your Whisper Journal may reveal religious beliefs or other sensitive information. We rely on the lawful grounds described in the Privacy Policy and request explicit consent where applicable law requires it.

8.3 You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. If consent is necessary to provide the Whisper Journal, withdrawal may require us to disable that feature or delete the relevant content, subject to lawful retention.

8.4 A SoulName does not make your Account anonymous to us, Paddle or the service providers described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Devotional content is not professional advice

9.1 nTer provides general spiritual, devotional and reflective content. It is not personalised medical, psychological, psychiatric, financial, legal, pastoral or counselling advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional who understands your circumstances.

9.2 nTer is not a church, clergy service, emergency service, crisis service or counselling service. We do not monitor the Whisper Journal for requests for help and cannot respond to entries as they are written. If you are in distress or danger, contact a qualified professional or local emergency service.

9.3 We do not promise a particular spiritual, emotional, health, relationship or other outcome. Devotional content reflects particular authors and may not correspond with every Christian denomination, tradition or personal belief.

10. Service disclaimers and liability

10.1 We will provide nTer with the degree of care, skill and quality required by applicable law. Subject to those rights, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or suitable for a purpose you have not expressly agreed with us.

10.2 To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms, indirect or consequential loss, business or commercial loss arising from personal use, or delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control. We remain responsible where the law makes us responsible for our selection or management of a service provider.

10.3 To the extent the law permits, our total aggregate liability arising from the paid Service is limited to the amount paid for your Subscription during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

10.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, gross negligence, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury where liability cannot be excluded, breach of duties that cannot lawfully be limited, or any mandatory consumer or data-protection right.

11. Suspension, termination and Account deletion

11.1 You may stop using nTer at any time, cancel your Subscription and request or use available controls to delete your Account. Subscription cancellation and Account deletion are separate actions.

11.2 We may restrict, suspend or end access if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, fail to pay, act unlawfully, create security or fraud risk, misuse nTer, or if law or a competent authority requires it. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy a remediable breach.

11.3 We may discontinue nTer or a paid part of it. If we end a paid Service before the end of a paid period for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will provide any notice, continued access, replacement service, credit or refund required by law, with refunds processed through Paddle.

11.4 When access ends, the licence in clause 6 ends. The Privacy Policy governs retention, deletion and backup cycles for personal information and Your Content. Clauses intended by their nature to continue, including intellectual property, liability, disputes and general terms, survive termination.

12. Changes to these Terms

12.1 We may update these Terms to reflect legal, security, operational or service changes. We will change the version number and effective date and give reasonable advance notice of a material change.

12.2 If a material change adversely affects your current paid use, you may cancel before it takes effect. Where law requires fresh agreement or consent, we will request it and will not rely only on continued use.

13. Complaints, governing law and disputes

13.1 For product or Account complaints, contact support@nter.life. For legal or privacy complaints, contact info@mattwhiteinternational.com. We will consider the complaint in good faith and respond within a reasonable time.

13.2 For a payment, billing, cancellation or refund complaint, use the support route on your Paddle receipt or buyer portal. We will cooperate with Paddle where the issue concerns nTer access or performance.

13.3 South African consumers may refer an unresolved consumer complaint to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or the National Consumer Commission where their jurisdiction applies. Privacy complaints may be lodged with the Information Regulator. These routes do not remove any other lawful remedy.

13.4 These Terms and your use of nTer are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

13.5 If you are a consumer resident outside South Africa, this choice of law and jurisdiction does not deprive you of mandatory consumer rights or access to a court or regulator that applicable law gives you in your country of residence.

14. General

14.1 These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund and Cancellation Policy form the agreement between you and us concerning nTer. Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy separately govern the purchase transaction with Paddle. If there is a conflict, mandatory law prevails; Paddle’s terms govern payment and the purchase transaction; these Terms govern access to and use of nTer; the Privacy Policy governs personal information; and the Refund and Cancellation Policy governs our published refund process, subject to Paddle’s role as seller.

14.2 If a provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions continue.

14.3 A delay or failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right.

14.4 You may not transfer your Account or rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations to an affiliate or a successor as part of a reorganisation, financing, sale or transfer of nTer or relevant assets, provided that your rights are not materially reduced and any notice required by law is given.

14.5 We may send notices to the email address linked to your Account or through the Service. You must keep your email address current. Legal notices to us may be sent to info@mattwhiteinternational.com and to the physical address in clause 1.

14.6 The English version of these Terms is the governing version unless mandatory law requires otherwise. A translation is provided for convenience unless it expressly states that it is authoritative.

14.7 Headings assist reading and do not affect interpretation. References to law include amendments and replacements. “Including” means “including without limitation”.
